The Home Foundation

Appreciating the talents, ideals and calling of God upon the lives of young men and women, the Home Foundation is committed to cultivating students to be powerful and effective change agents in the fight for justice and dignity. Through a national campus initiative, the Home Foundation is raising awareness and advocacy, offering college students summer internships with relief organizations combating human trafficking.

The Home Foundation has selected the first two receipients of our college internship scholarship. These two qualified and fantastic students are from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. They will be traveling to Mumbai this summer for a 10 week program. We will keep you informed of their progress during their trip.

My name is Liliya Semenyuk, and I was born in the Ukraine, but was mostly raised in Bellevue, Washington. I am majoring in nursing and missions because I feel a strong calling in my life to work as a nurse in a third world country and provide medical attention to those in need. I am excited about this internship because God has really been impressing India upon my heart, and this opportunity will prepare me to work as a missionary nurse in India someday. Natalie, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for your generosity and willingness to invest in my life so that I, in turn, can invest in the lives of others and be equipped and prepared for whatever the future may hold.

Lindsey

My name is Lindsey Bruner and I will be interning this summer in Mumbai, India! I’m 19 years old and originally from Walla Walla, WA. I am currently studying music and Intercultural studies. Both are very separate majors and although I have yet to see how God is going to fit them together, I know he has an incredible plan for my life! Ultimately, I would love to work as a human rights activist, with an emphasis on forced labor and the trafficking of persons internationally. I want to be a part of the fight to stop human trafficking for so many reasons. While I was in high school, God blessed me with a series of dreams that showed me all sorts of abandoned little girls in need of rescue. From these dreams He birthed a passion in my heart to seek out the abandoned little girls of the world and show them Christ’s love. I know that God has led me to the Home foundation to work with the victims of human trafficking, and I can’t wait to let you know of the incredible miracles He is doing!
